EU-Mercosur trade deal's tariff cuts await procedural steps to kick in

But the final ratification process, which includes exchanging formal notifications with the Mercosur countries, could lead to staggered start dates, and European lawmakers could still throw a spanner in the works.The European Commission’s triggering of the provisional application of the EU-Mercosur trade agreement marked a decisive step toward seeing the results of a deal that has been more than a quarter of a century in the making (see here)....
