China to impose 5.9 percent antidumping duties on Canadian rapeseed for 5 years

( March 2, 2026, 02:53 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Canada’s canola exporters will face antidumping duties of 5.9 percent for five years, China’s Ministry of Commerce said in a final ruling on Saturday, with the tariff taking effect Sunday. The ministry said imports of Canadian rapeseed were dumped and caused material injury to domestic producers. The decision follows a probe opened in September 2024, and the provisional findings released in August 2025 concluded that dumping had occurred and harmed China’s rapeseed industry. Chinese customs will collect the duties based on the import value, while guarantees lodged during the provisional-measures period between August and December 2025 will be converted into duties or refunded as appropriate.Statement follows (in Chinese)....
