US judge releases full explanation of class certification order in e-cigarette antitrust case

Orrick released a public opinion granted class certification in an antitrust case against Juul Labs, Inc. and Altria Group. Direct purchasers of e-cigarettes were granted a class that includes anyone that purchased e-cigarette products directly from Juul or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates from October 2018 to the present. Indirect purchasers were granted eleven classes under the laws of seven states for the class periods of October 2018 to March 2024 and December 2018 to March 2025. See attached file. ...
