Florida roofing executive pleads guilty in US to bid-rigging
( February 26, 2026, 15:40 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Florida commercial roofing executive Gregg Wallick has pleaded guilty for his participation in a conspiracy to suppress and eliminate competition by rigging bids on commercial roofing projects, according to a release from the US Department of Justice, which said the scheme resulted in Wallick's company obtaining more than $3.5 million in ill-gotten gains. “The defendant’s bid rigging scheme was an unfair, illegal cheat code used against vulnerable customers who needed roofing services in a hurricane-prone area, and the Antitrust Division’s commitment to finding and prosecuting these schemes is unbreakable” Acting Deputy Assistant Attorney General Daniel Glad said in a statement.
