South Korean school-uniform makers face antitrust probe over alleged cartel

Speaking at the inter-ministerial taskforce meeting on special management of consumer prices, Ju said the KFTC has launched a sweeping probe into four major uniform manufacturers and some 40 local dealers nationwide over suspected cartel practices that may have contributed to high uniform prices. He also added that the KFTC is scheduled to deliberate in March on the alleged bid rigging by 27 uniform suppliers serving 136 schools in Gwangju.
