China adds 20 Japanese entities to export-control watch list, Mofcom says

( February 24, 2026, 04:43 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: FUJI Aerospace Technology and Institute of Science Tokyo are among 20 Japanese entities added to China’s export-control “watch list” after authorities said they couldn’t verify the end users or end uses of dual-use items exported to them, China’s Ministry of Commerce said in an announcement Tuesday. Exporters may not use general licenses or simplified filing procedures for dual-use shipments to the listed entities and must apply for single licenses, submitting risk-assessment reports and written commitments that the items won’t be used to enhance Japan’s military capabilities, the ministry said. Review timelines aren't subject to statutory limits. Exports involving Japanese military users or uses, or any end use that could bolster Japan’s military strength, won’t be approved. Listed entities may seek removal after cooperating with compliance checks, the ministry added. The measures took effect immediately.Statement follows (in Chinese)....
