Audiotonix's proposed acquisition of Soundtech Group under Australian review

( February 20, 2026, 06:38 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The proposed acquisition by UK-headquartered Audiotonix of 100 percent of Soundtech Group S.r.l. will be reviewed under Australia’s new merger regime. In a statement on Friday, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said Audiotonix is seeking to acquire Soundtech through two special purpose vehicles, Sound Bidco S.r.l and Sound Bidco (Denmark) ApS. The regulator said Audiotonix, which is ultimately controlled by private equity company PAI Partners, supplies wireless-microphone systems at wholesale level in Australia through its subsidiary Sound Devices. The statement added that Soundtech’s subsidiaries DPA Microphones and Austrian Audio supply high-end microphones in Australia.
