Live Nation must face US DOJ, states' antitrust claims, judge rules

( February 18, 2026, 21:55 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Live Nation and subsidiary Ticketmaster must face US monopolization claims brought by the Department of Justice and state plaintiffs relating to the market for large amphitheaters and the venue-facing ticketing market, according to a federal judge. District Judge Arun Subramanian said that endorsing Live Nation’s argument against the claims would be a coup for antitrust defendants, and exclusive dealing or tying claims would become virtually impossible to bring, as the anticompetitive effect of any individual contract would be minimal except for in the most extreme cases.See attached file. ...
