UK fraud office's pile-up of problems could complicate hunt for a new head

With its director leaving in a few weeks' time, the catalog of recent problems at the prosecutor may make it a bigger challenge for his successor.Late last year, the UK’s fraud agency had five criminal trials slated to begin in 2026 and had built up a head of steam under its director of two years, former police officer Nick Ephgrave. Things were looking bright for the white-collar crime prosecutor after a series of setbacks in recent years....
