Apple, Google make mobile ecosystem commitments after UK antitrust probe

( February 10, 2026, 11:17 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Apple and Google have made commitments to make changes to their mobile ecosystems, including over app review, app ranking and data collection, following a UK competition probe that resulted in a "strategic market status" designation of the companies' platforms under the country's new digital markets law. The commitments, effective from April 1 this year, have been put out for feedback by the Competition and Markets Authority until March 3. The regulator said the commitments are "intended to boost the UK’s app economy and to provide developers with confidence that they will be treated fairly by Apple and Google."Statement follows....
