Trump signs order to tweak tariff-rate quotas on beef imports

( February 6, 2026, 23:42 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex summary: President Donald Trump has signed a proclamation to increase the in-quota number for lean beef trimmings subject to tariff-rate quotas, citing difficulties with domestic supply. The increased supply is allocated entirely to Argentina. The total increase is 80,000 metric tons, broken up into four tranches of 20,000 MT each released during select periods of this year.
