( February 9, 2026, 03:41 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China’s State Administration for Market Regulation held the first session of its 2026 overseas antitrust compliance lecture series in Chongqing on Thursday, focusing on key industries and rising international enforcement risks, the regulator said in a notice published Friday. The event discussed antitrust risks tied to foreign operations in sectors including equipment manufacturing, electronic information and biomedicine, as Chinese companies expand abroad amid tighter global scrutiny. More than 40 companies participated. The session reviewed regulatory trends and recent enforcement cases in major jurisdictions, including the EU and the US, and offered practical guidance on merger filings, cartel risk prevention and compliance for dominant market positions.
