UK music promoters blocked from using record label’s IP over unpaid debt

By Douglas Clarke-Williams ( February 6, 2026, 15:19 GMT | Insight) -- NoCopyrightSounds, a UK music label, will regain control of licensed music from two companies that owe it more than £4 million, after a judge agreed to issue an injunction blocking the use of the label’s intellectual property until the debt is paid.Two music promotion companies have been blocked from using a record label’s intellectual property until a £4.1 million debt has been settled. AEI Music and Featherstone Music had entered into a distribution contract with NoCopyrightSounds in 2014, but built up a debt which AEI says would now bankrupt the company if it was ordered to pay in full....
