Intrepid Travel denied notification waiver to acquire Australian tourism operator

In a determination document published on Thursday, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said Intrepid Travel and Wild Bush Luxury both supply tourism services in Australia, particularly in the states of South Australia and Tasmania and the Northern Territory. The regulator said it is unable to reach a view that the acquisition would not be likely to raise competition issues in any market based on the information provided.Statement follows.
