China to hold over 100 import-promotion events in 2026, Mofcom says

( February 5, 2026, 05:56 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China will hold more than 100 activities to expand imports in 2026 and invite countries including the UK, Kazakhstan, Kenya and Thailand to serve as annual theme countries, the Ministry of Commerce said. The ministry launched its “Shared Big Market · Export to China” 2026 campaign in Beijing on Wednesday. Commerce Minister Wang Wentao said the initiative aims to expand imports, promote balanced trade and support the multilateral trading system. Wang added that the ministry will better match supply and demand and help foreign goods and services enter the Chinese market.Statement follows (in Chinese)....
