Romania’s planned fixed internet rules under investigation by EU Commission

Romania’s regulator had not shown clear evidence that competition problems existed or that new rules were needed, the commission said, questioning the compatibility of the draft law with EU legislation. The commission said it had two months to investigate, during which Romania's ANCOM national regulatory authority would not be allowed to introduce the measures.
