Values not speed key to deploying generative AI safely, Dutch data watchdog says

In a statement on how the technology should be used safely, the watchdog advocated creating space for innovation, while protecting democracy, fundamental rights, and mutual trust. Measures included setting up an online helpdesk for generative AI, promoting methods for anonymizing or removing personal data from models and principles for transparency.
