Brazil unveils report on online age verification for minors

( February 3, 2026, 17:58 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Brazil’s Ministry of Justice and Public Security, through the Secretariat of Digital Rights, has released an official report compiling inputs on age-verification mechanisms in digital environments. The initiative represents a step forward in implementing the Digital Statute for Children and Adolescents (ECA Digital), a law aimed at protecting individuals under 18 on social media, gaming platforms and apps.
