US FTC to request stay in Zillow, Redfin antitrust case

( February 2, 2026, 21:16 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Federal Trade Commission told a federal judge it will file a motion to stay its antitrust claims against Zillow and Redfin over an allegedly illegal conspiracy to limit competition in the market for rental advertising offerings. "The State Plaintiffs take no position on whether the Court should stay the FTC action but will join the FTC's motion seeking that any stay or denial thereof apply equally to both actions in this consolidated litigation," the parties to the suit said in a joint status report filed in the Eastern District of Virginia. Both Zillow and Redfin oppose the stay, the filing said.See attached document....
