US judge declines to decertify class or require disgorgement by Google

( January 30, 2026, 22:07 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US District Judge Richard Seeborg denied post-verdict bids by both Google and a privacy class in a case where Google was found by a jury to have tracked users' app activity even after they switched off a key privacy setting. He declined to decertify the class, finding common issues still predominate. But he also refused to grant a permanent injunction and disgorgement of $2.36 billion worth of Google's profits. See attached ruling....
