Nvidia seeks dismissal of US authors' copyright claims

( January 29, 2026, 19:44 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Nvidia is seeking to dismiss direct, contributory and vicarious copyright infringement claims in a US copyright lawsuit over the use of authors’ works in AI training, with prejudice. The authors haven’t plausibly alleged that Nvidia copied their books, and they’re trying to use vague accusations to open the door to massive discovery, Nvidia argues.
