US signs trade deal with Guatemala

( January 30, 2026, 15:38 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer signed a trade agreement with Guatemala’s Minister of Economy Adriana Gabriela Garcia that was preliminarily reached in November. The deal will remove a 10 percent "reciprocal" tariff on Guatemala's exports that cannot be sufficiently produced in the US, along with textiles and apparel products. Guatemala has also agreed to address a range of US concerns on trade, including non-tariff barriers, digital trade, agricultural trade and cooperation on supply chain monitoring.Statement follows:...
