Micron breaks ground on $24 billion Singapore facility to meet AI memory demand

In a statement, Micron said production is scheduled to start in the second half of 2028, with the chipmaking facility designed to meet growing AI-driven demand for NAND memory. The project will create 1,600 jobs and use advanced robotics, smart manufacturing and co-located research to support AI applications, strengthen supply chain resilience and reinforce Singapore’s role in the global semiconductor ecosystem, Micron said.The statement follows....
