Canada’s Privacy Commissioner backs data mobility provision in Bill C-15

Dufresne praised Bill C-15's inclusion of a right to data mobility to facilitate information sharing across all economic sectors. “A right to data mobility would give Canadians greater control of their personal information by allowing them to make decisions about who they want their information shared with. This would make it easier for them to switch service providers and choose with which organizations they wish to engage.
