China pushes back on EU plan to phase out 'high-risk' ICT suppliers (update*)

Speaking at a regular briefing Wednesday, a Foreign Ministry spokesperson said the plan lacks factual basis, politicizes cybersecurity and violates market principles, warning Beijing would take necessary measures to protect its companies’ interests.
