Netflix, WBD got second request from US DOJ on Jan. 16

( January 20, 2026, 12:48 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Netflix and Warner Bros Discovery received a second request for additional information from the US Department of Justice on Jan. 16, the companies said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. According to the companies, the merger will entail pre-closing filings to 20 or more merger control authorities, and to 10 or more foreign investment control authorities. The companies said that filings are being made to authorities across South America, Asia and Europe — including the EU, under both the Merger Regulation and the Foreign Subsidies Regulation. Netflix and WBD have begun engaging with certain competition authorities, including the European Commission.Excerpt....
