Google to appeal ruling in US DOJ's search monopolization lawsuit

( January 16, 2026, 23:40 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Google told a US federal court it intends to appeal a ruling in an antitrust lawsuit brought by the Department of Justice over its Internet search monopoly. Google will appeal the August 2024 liability ruling and the September 2025 remedy ruling to the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, it said in a notice. The district court extended the deadline for any party to file notices of appeal in a separate case that was brought by a coalition of states led by Colorado until Feb. 3, Google said. The states' case was tried alongside the DOJ suit with overlapping as well as additional antitrust claims.See attached documents....
