X warned by French media regulator on Grok’s sexualized images

( January 15, 2026, 17:11 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Arcom, France’s digital services regulator, warned Thursday that Elon Musk's platform X is liable if it fails to act on reports of nonconsensual sexual images or CSAM generated by its AI tool Grok. Platforms such as X must ensure users can easily flag illegal content and receive a human-reviewed reexamination of decisions, Arcom said. Where X fails to comply, Arcom told affected individuals to file complaints directly with the regulator, which will gather evidence to enforce the EU’s Digital Services Act, and potentially escalate to French criminal prosecutors or to the media regulator in Ireland, where X has its European headquarters.Full press release is attached:...
