The AI package is further advanced, with lawmakers Michael McNamara and Arba Kokalari now confirmed to take leading roles in crafting the amendments. Meanwhile, leadership on the digital simplification package, which includes changes to the GDPR, remains less clear, but was assigned to the social-democrat group.The European Parliament is seeing the leadership of the digital amendment packages taking shape with centrist Michael McNamara set to lead on the AI Act reform, while changes to the GDPR have been assigned to the social-democrats in the civil liberty committee, MLex has learned....
