China to extend anti-dumping duties on US, South Korean solar-grade polysilicon for 5 years

( January 14, 2026, 02:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China’s Ministry of Commerce said Tuesday that it will continue anti-dumping duties on solar-grade polysilicon imports from the US and South Korea for another five years from Wednesday, after completing an expiry review of the measures. The ministry said ending the duties would likely lead to the continuation or recurrence of dumping and injury to China’s domestic solar-grade polysilicon industry. The decision follows a review launched in January 2025 at the request of China’s industry and maintains existing duty rates first imposed in 2014 and subsequently adjusted, with US producers facing duties of 53.3 to 57 percent and South Korean producers facing duties of 4.4 to 113.8 percent. The product is a key raw material for crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells.Statement follows (in Chinese)....
