PayPal moves to dismiss plaintiffs' second amended US antitrust claims

( January 9, 2026, 17:35 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: PayPal has moved to dismiss plaintiffs' second amended US antitrust claims which allege it has entered into unlawful agreements with e-merchants that strictly prohibit them from offering price discounts or other incentives when consumers use non-PayPal means of payment. "Plaintiffs were afforded 'one final opportunity' to try to cure the fundamental defects this Court has repeatedly identified in their antitrust theories — namely, failures to plead antitrust standing, market power, and antitrust injury," PayPal said in its motion to dismiss filed in the Northern District of California. The plaintiffs have failed to add concrete facts that remedy previous deficiencies, and their complaint should be dismissed with prejudice, PayPal said.See attached document:...
