Trade bodies lose appeal against Spanish aid to Correos at top EU court

( January 15, 2026, 10:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Spanish private-post association Asempre and logistics organization UNO have lost their legal challenge against their earlier court loss over the European Commission's 2020 approval of Spanish aid granted to the national postal operator Correos. In judgments delivered Thursday, the EU's Court of Justice fully rejected both challenges, saying that the lower court rightly concluded the applicants had failed to show they were “individually concerned” by the contested decision.The judgments are attached (in French).
