( January 12, 2026, 06:15 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Google’s proposal to acquire 100 percent of the share capital in cloud-security services provider Wiz Inc will be reviewed by the Australian competition regulator. In a statement on Monday, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said that Google supplies a range of cloud-computing services in Australia through its Google Cloud division and also offers several cloud-security products. The regulator said Wiz’s primary product is a cloud native application-protection platform called Wiz Cloud. The regulator’s review will focus on how closely Wiz and Google compete in the supply of cloud-security services.
