WCO Spectrum files amended US antitrust counterclaims against T-Mobile

( January 7, 2026, 23:30 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: WCO Spectrum filed amended US antitrust counterclaims against T-Mobile, accusing the company of maintaining an illegal monopsony over the market for 2.5 gigahertz spectrum rights, "a key input for the deployment of high-quality, nationwide 5G mobile wireless networks, as well as fixed wireless networks." T-Mobile has engaged in multiple forms of exclusionary conduct including entering into decades-long exclusive leases with license holders, extending that exclusivity "far beyond" those leases' terms, and pursuing or threatening sham litigation against license holders to deter them from selling their rights, WCO Spectrum said in its filing with the Central District of California. As a result, T-Mobile has eliminated competition in the market for 2.5 gigahertz spectrum license rights, which has artificially suppressed prices for license holders, the counterclaims said.See attached document. ...
