The new terms enable Zalo to collect users' personal data, including ID numbers and personal images, and share them among VNG subsidiaries and affiliated companies. Users who don't accept the changes are told their accounts will be deleted after 45 days. The move came a few days before the personal data protection law is set to take effect on Jan. 1.
