According to the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Commerce, the revised catalogue, aimed at steering foreign investment into priority sectors and regions, contains 1,679 encouraged items, a net increase of 205 from the previous edition. The changes emphasize advanced manufacturing, modern services, high technology, energy conservation and environmental protection, while expanding incentives for investment in central and western regions, northeastern China and Hainan Island.Statement follows.
