Plaintiffs seek US class certification in Calif. DMV Meta Pixel-tracking case

( December 19, 2025, 18:25 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Plaintiffs accusing Meta Platforms of violating the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act and California Invasion of Privacy Act through its Pixel tracker asked a US federal judge to certify to proposed classes. If approved, the classes would include current and former holders of a permanent, temporary or travel disabled person parking placard issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles whose disabled person parking placard application, replacement or renewal record is in Meta’s records from the DMV website, and anyone who held a validated MyDMV account and conducted an authenticated DMV online transaction between February 2020 and August 2023.
