US implements Switzerland trade deal

( December 17, 2025, 15:44 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US government has implemented a trade deal reached with Switzerland and Liechtenstein, applying either the highest of a most favored nation tariff rate or a tariff rate of 15 percent. The rates are effective retroactively to Nov. 14 with the expectation that a full agreement with both countries will be reached in early 2026. But if no agreement is reached by March 31, the US will review the tariff rates. The US carved out exemptions in the trade agreement on "certain agricultural goods, unavailable natural resources, aircraft and aircraft parts, and generic pharmaceuticals and their ingredients and chemical precursors."See attached file....
