Danone's bid for majority control of Australian dairy joint venture reviewed

( December 16, 2025, 03:08 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Danone Asia’s application to acquire an additional one percent stake in Danone Saputo Dairy Australia is being reviewed under Australia's mandatory merger regime. In an announcement on Monday, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said that following the acquisition, Danone Asia will have a 51 percent interest in Danone Saputo Dairy Australia. The statement said Danone Saputo Dairy Australia is a joint venture between Danone and Saputo to manufacture and supply wholesale fresh dairy products in Australia.
