The results of the consultation carried out in December 2024 to February 2025 showed 88 percent of 10,112 online survey responses chose the option to strengthen copyright protections and only 3 percent chose the government’s preference of a data mining exception where rights holders would have to actively opt out, the results showed on Monday.
