US judge vacates part of VTB Capital's restitution in 'tuna bond' case

( December 12, 2025, 22:04 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A US judge vacated part of his awarding of $352 million in restitution to VTB Capital for losses incurred in an investment fraud tied to maritime projects in Mozambique that became known as the "tuna bond" case. He granted motions of reconsideration from two former Credit Suisse bankers, and did the same in part for a third former banker. The judge ordered the government to provide further direction on how to allocate the restitution payments to the other defendants in the case.See attached document....
