App developers back Disney in US antitrust case against InterDigital

( December 10, 2025, 23:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The App Association is urging a US a federal judge to deny InterDigital’s motion to dismiss Disney’s antitrust claims, saying it should recognize that standard-essential patents grant market power to the patentee. “Disney’s pleading does not challenge the right to petition the courts per se; rather, it details how the use of serial foreign litigation functions as part of an exclusionary scheme to coerce acceptance of non-FRAND terms after manipulating the standards process. At minimum, these allegations plausibly state a claim, and dismissal would short-circuit the fact-intensive inquiries this case requires,” the association said. See attached file....
