Cambodia says Huione Pay license has been revoked, reiterates ban on crypto services

( December 3, 2025, 09:55 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Cambodia’s central bank on Wednesday said it had already revoked the license of payment service provider Huione Pay as of Sept. 25, 2024, and confirmed that the company completed all liquidation procedures and settled its obligations to clients as of June 19, 2025. The National Bank of Cambodia also warned that cryptocurrency transactions continue to breach its rules and said no bank or financial institution is authorized to offer crypto-asset services. It urged the public and financial institutions to exercise caution and comply with existing regulations.The statement is attached (in Khmer)....
