Lusha Systems probe ongoing over Europeans’ data, Italian data watchdog says

( December 5, 2025, 17:33 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US sales contacts provider Lusha Systems collects and processes the personal data of European citizens, including public figures and people in senior positions, according to preliminary findings of an investigation by Italy’s data protection authority. It found that Lusha see its customers as responsible for complying with data protection. The watchdog opened a probe in April following complaints from individuals receiving unwanted sales calls allegedly based on information in Lusha's database. It said it is also monitoring similar major platforms use of adequate legal bases, and that it was speaking to rebuff Italian media reports that it had suspended its probe.Statement follows (in Italian)....
