Japan's Zwei, Glovision sanctioned for freelance-law violations

( December 5, 2025, 08:23 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Japan’s Fair Trade Commission on Friday issued corrective recommendations to match-making service provider Zwei and to Glovision, a Kadokawa Group subsidiary specializing in dubbing and sound production, for violations of the freelance-worker protection law. Zwei failed to disclose contracting terms to 134 independent counselors and masters of ceremony involved in its match-making events, the JFTC said. Glovision similarly failed to provide written terms to 55 contractors, including voice actors, translators tanslators and editors, and also delayed payments to some of them. The watchdog said Zwei is the first company to receive a corrective recommendation solely for failing to provide written contract terms, underscoring the importance it places on compliance with this requirement.The statements are attached (in Japanese)....
