Meta may face 'interim' antitrust intervention over AI bots, EU's Ribera says

Such interim interventions are rare under EU law, but the competition commissioner said such action may be needed to protect the market. The Italian competition is also considering imposing an interim injunction, but the country is carved out from the scope of the EU probe.
