Sámi news outlets can get Norwegian aid, EFTA watchdog says

( December 3, 2025, 15:39 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Norway has won approval for its support to news and current affairs media serving the Sámi, an indigenous northern European people, the EFTA Surveillance Authority said on Wednesday. The program, with an expected budget of around 301 million Norwegian Kroner ($30 million), is meant to boost broad, reliable journalism.
