YouTube will comply with Australia's teen social-media ban, Google says

In a blog on Wednesday, YouTube said that children under 16 will be automatically signed out on Dec. 10. and lose access to features including subscriptions, playlists and likes. The blog added that parents will also lose the ability to supervise their children’s accounts on YouTube. The company said that while it will not delete any of the existing content or data, children under 16 can choose to download their content via Google Takeout or delete any of their data or their channel completely.
