US DOJ joins HPE's motion to clarify states' intervention in Tunney Act review

( December 1, 2025, 23:54 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Department of Justice joined Hewlett Packard Enterprise's motion for clarification on states' intervention in the review of a settlement over the company's acquisition of Juniper Networks. The DOJ said it was joining HPE's request for clarity on the nature and scope of the states' intervention. "Although the Court has granted Intervenors’ motion, continuing ambiguity about the nature and scope of their intervention will undoubtedly lead to disputes about the preparation required for any hearing the Court may hold with respect to its public interest determination under the Tunney Act," the DOJ said in a court filing. It added that "[a]mbiguity also continues to fuel the United States’ concerns about the potential delay and prejudice."See attached filing....
