Consumer claims over Apple’s App Store can be heard in Netherlands, EU court says

The Court of Justice, giving guidance on a fight between Apple and two litigation foundations over allegedly too-high app fees, rejected the tech giant’s argument that Dutch courts didn’t have jurisdiction. The case concerned Apple's Dutch app store, which was “designed specially for The Netherlands’ market,” and used the Dutch language to sell apps to customers registered there. Some apps were created “specifically” for that market, it said.The statement follows, and the judgment is attached.
